How an engagement works in practice.

If we've contacted you about a role β€” or you're thinking about reaching out β€” here's the full picture, from first call to first paycheck. No surprises, no fine print buried later.

Four steps, no agency-speak.

Same model whether you're placed into a fjord-hotel kitchen, a Stavanger restaurant, or an Oslo hotel front desk.

01 · First contact

We reach out, or you do

20–30 minute conversation. Location, role level, start date, salary expectation. We figure out together if there's a fit before either side commits time.

02 · CV review & interview

You meet the employer directly

If your profile fits, we share an anonymised version with the employer. If they want to talk, we schedule the interview β€” you and they decide whether to proceed.

03 · Trial period

90 working days, full Norwegian employer cover

You're employed by Scandic Rekruttering AS during the trial period β€” full employment contract, statutory sick pay, holiday accrual, occupational injury insurance.

04 · Permanent hire

Direct hire, no extra fee, or continue with us

After 90 days, the client can hire you directly with no further fee. Or continue through us on the same terms. If the fit isn't right, we find you the next placement.

Pay, hours and how it actually works.

Weekly timesheets. You get a personal link to submit your hours each Monday for the previous week. The client has three working days to approve or dispute β€” if they don't respond, the timesheet is approved automatically (per Β§ 4.4 of the Samarbeidsavtale).

Payroll. Weekly during the trial period, biweekly after. Direct deposit in NOK to your Norwegian bank. Payslips delivered electronically.

Minimum shift. Each scheduled shift is paid a minimum of 4 hours regardless of actual time worked. Same rule for shifts cancelled by the client with less than 24 hours' notice (Β§ 4.3).

If something goes wrong. We have 10 working days to present the client with a replacement candidate. You're not stranded.
